A partner visa expert review is most useful when someone can follow the application you have already prepared. The forms, relationship statements and documents should tell a clear story of your life together, even where your arrangements are a little unusual.
You do not need a glossy submission. You do need a working set of material, a sensible order and an honest list of the questions you cannot resolve. Here is how to get that ready before paying for a professional second look.
Start with the application you are actually preparing
Write down your intended visa pathway and current stage. A couple preparing an initial 820/801 application has different questions from someone preparing a 309/100 application or updating evidence for the permanent stage.
Include where the applicant is now, the visa they hold, any conditions and the relevant expiry or response dates. Location alone does not establish that an onshore application is available. If you are unsure about the pathway or whether you can validly apply, say so before booking a review.
An Expert Application Review checks prepared work within an agreed scope. If you have not chosen a pathway or started the application, ask which service would suit that earlier decision.
Can the reviewer follow your relationship timeline?
Prepare one short chronology that points to your records: when you met, how the relationship developed, when you began living together, significant moves or commitments, and periods spent apart.
Then compare it with both partners’ statements and the dates in the application forms. The two statements should sound like two people. A difference in perspective is natural; a conflicting move-in date needs checking.
For example, a couple may remember the month they began staying together regularly but use a later lease date as their shared-address date. Explain the distinction using the records. Do not choose a convenient date simply to make every document match.
Our relationship evidence guide provides the broader framework. For a review, add a brief note beside any unresolved discrepancy rather than hiding it among the uploads.
Give the documents a useful order
Bring the current draft forms and supporting material together. An evidence index can list the filename, period covered and the point the document supports. Group relationship evidence around finances, household arrangements, social recognition and commitment, using your actual circumstances.
Keep a separate list of items still outstanding. That might include an address correction, a translation or a witness statement you have requested. Label a missing document as missing; do not let a placeholder look like completed evidence.
You can use our application cross-checks to catch routine names-and-dates issues first. The review can then spend time on the questions that need professional attention.
What the A$990 review covers
WiseKangaroo’s published standard Expert Application Review is A$990 including GST. A Registered Migration Agent reviews your prepared forms and supporting evidence, identifies missing information and inconsistencies, assesses lodgement readiness and provides consolidated recommendations and corrections. It includes one follow-up review after you make the recommended changes.
The standard review excludes application preparation, evidence creation, lodgement and ongoing representation or Department correspondence. Government and third-party fees are additional. Matters involving refusals, cancellations, tribunal proceedings or complex health or character issues need a separate scope assessment.
The documents, questions, fee and timing are confirmed in writing before work starts. See the review service and current professional fees for the published offer. Do not assume a looming deadline has been accepted simply because you have sent an enquiry.
What to include in your enquiry
Tell us which application you are preparing, how far you have progressed, what you want checked and any deadline. A short description of the main concern helps: an inconsistent address, a period apart, unclear evidence of shared expenses, or uncertainty about the next stage.
Do not send passwords. Ask for the agreed document-transfer method before sending your application bundle. Once engaged, provide the requested version of the material, keep a copy, and identify later changes clearly.
After the recommendations arrive, make the corrections and use the included follow-up. You remain responsible for the final information and lodgement, including changes that arise after the review.
If your prepared Partner application needs a second look, request an application review. Tell us your stage and the issue you want resolved, and we can confirm the right scope before you commit.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need a finished application before requesting a review?
Bring the forms and supporting evidence you have prepared. Tell us what remains unfinished so we can confirm whether a review is suitable or whether you need preparation support instead.
Does the $990 review include rewriting our statements or lodging?
No. The standard review provides feedback and consolidated recommendations on your prepared material, with one follow-up after your changes. Preparation, evidence creation, lodgement and ongoing representation are excluded.
Will an expert review guarantee a Partner visa grant?
No. A review can identify issues within the material supplied and agreed scope. Home Affairs decides the application; a review does not guarantee completeness, eligibility or an outcome.
